Every WWE Women’s Speed Champion In History

On last night’s episode of WWE NXT, it was announced that a unification match would be taking place at NXT Heatwave.

Wren Sinclair’s Women’s Speed Championship and Zaria’s Women’s North American Championship are set to be unified on the show, which likely spells the end of the Speed title’s time in WWE.

Introduced in 2024, the Women’s Speed Championship was initially made for the WWE Speed show on X, but has since become a secondary midcard title on NXT.

Here is every WWE Women’s Speed Champion in history.

Candice LeRae

A few months after the WWE Speed concept was introduced, WWE announced the inaugural tournament to crown the first-ever Women’s Speed Champion.

The final of the tournament took place on October 4, with Candice LeRae and IYO SKY reviving their old rivalry in the final of the tournament, with Candice winning to become the inaugural champion.

The title remains Candice LeRae’s only singles championship in WWE, with her now having the honor of only holding titles in WWE that are no longer in use after her reign as NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion.

Candice will also go down as the only woman to ever hold the Women’s Speed Championship as an active member of the WWE main roster.

Sol Ruca

Candice LeRae lost the Speed Championship to Sol Ruca on April 11, 2025, with the episode of Speed featuring the title change airing on April 16, which is when Sol’s reign is officially listed as starting by the company.

Sol will likely go down as the most memorable holder of the title, as she held it alongside the Women’s North American Championship last year, arguably the most publicity and exposure the title ever got.

Sol Ruca is also the longest reigning Women’s Speed Champion in history, as well as the youngest champion in the title’s lineage.

Sol was never defeated for the title, as the title was vacated back in October 2025 after an injury to Ruca.

Fallon Henley

Following Sol Ruca’s injury and the title being vacated, a tournament was announced to crown the new champion, with Sol’s then-partner Zaria entering the tournament, hoping to win the title in honor of Sol.

Zaria would make it to the finals of the tournament, which took place on night two of NXT Gold Rush back in November, facing off against Fallon Henley of Fatal Influence.

Fallon won the match and the title, which was her third title reign in NXT after prior reigns with the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship and Women’s North American Championship.

Fallon held onto the title in March, with her losing the title in preparation for her and Fatal Influence’s move up to the main roster.

Wren Sinclair

Wren Sinclair captured the Women’s Speed Championship from Fallon Henley back on the March 17 episode of NXT in Houston.

The title was Wren’s first title of her WWE career, with her victory later going on to inspire her friend Kendal Grey to win the NXT Women’s Championship at the Great American Bash.

Despite reigning as Women’s Speed Champion, Wren has been targeting other titles, namely Zaria’s Women’s North American Championship, which is how we ended up with this unification match.

Wren’s reign will go down as the fourth reign with the title, and the final ‘official’ reign with the title.

Zaria?

When WWE unified the North American and Cruiserweight Championships back in 2022, Carmelo Hayes was recognised as the final Cruiserweight Champion after defeating Roderick Strong in the match.

However, later that year, NXT unified it’s championships with the NXT UK championships, which recognise Tyler Bate and Meiko Satomura as the final champions instead of Bron Breakker and Mandy Rose respectively.

This case feels a lot more similar to the first, and with the story on NXT television being Zaria’s obsession with holding the title once held by Sol Ruca, it stands to reason that she will likely be recognised as the final champion if she were to defeat Wren Sinclair at Heatwave.

Zaria bringing an end to the championship that Sol Ruca arguably made famous would make for a nice story moment between the two, but she must first get past Wren at Heatwave.
