Who Will Be The Next Face Of WWE?

In recent years, fans have begun to point out a growing issue within WWE, that being the age and tenure of a lot of it’s top stars.

With names like Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and CM Punk all either approaching or above 40 years old, as well as the recent retirements of John Cena, Brock Lesnar and AJ Styles, now more than ever WWE needs to invest into it’s future.

Thankfully, there are a number of young guns on the WWE roster waiting in the wings to take the reins at the top of the card.

Here are some WWE stars we could see become the next face of WWE.

Oba Femi

The safest bet to become WWE’s key player for the future right now is Oba Femi after his rather public endorsement at SummerSlam.

After becoming the first person to ever defeat Brock Lesnar in a Hell In A Cell match, Lesnar took to the microphone and officially declared himself as the past, and Oba as the future.

Oba’s trajectory in WWE continues to rise, with him likely set to face off with Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship in the future, likely taking home the title.

For now, he and Bron Breakker are set to clash to determine who truly is the top dog of the future.

Bron Breakker

Speaking of Bron Breakker, while he has had a rather uneventful 2026 so far, it seems as though momentum for him may finally be set to pick up.

While Bron remains part of a rather cold version of the Vision on Raw, his rivalry with Oba Femi has already become the most anticipated part of the show every single week.

Bron has remained popular in spite of his recent booking, and giving him a rivalry with Oba Femi plants a story between the two men that we could see play out over the next few years at the top of the card.

Breakker and Oba have been the arguable top picks for future top stars for a long time, and it’ll be exciting to see which one eventually takes that number one spot, if either of them can.

Trick Williams

Trick Williams is another star that has burst onto the scene in WWE since his call up to WWE back in January, already holding the United States Championship.

Trick’s gift of the gab is his greatest asset, which in many ways may make him a more likely candidate to eventually become the top star in WWE, given the company’s reliance on wrestlers character work.

In the ring, Trick is more than serviceable, though he would need a little bit more time before he is truly ready to ascend to that very top spot.

If Trick remains as popular as he is right now and grows into a more complete worker, it may eventually be him who takes the reins as WWE’s top guy.

Je’von Evans

At just 22 years old, we may be set for another 20 years of Je’von Evans in WWE provided he can stay healthy.

Je’von Evans may not immediately strike fans as your prototypical ‘face of WWE’ type, with his strengths being more in-ring than character based, but in 2026, he is arguably the exact kind of wrestler that could do big things both in and outside the company.

Evans’ captivating energy and personality with his young age is undeniable, which makes him arguably the most relatable star on the roster to the young fans in the audience.

Continue to book Je’von strong on Raw for the next year or two and he could be more than ready to take that spot.

Rhea Ripley

Nothing would signify a complete changing of the guard in WWE more than the next face of WWE to not be a men’s wrestler at all.

Despite being on the WWE main roster since 2021, Rhea Ripley is still only 29 years old, making her around the same age or even younger than a number of the recent NXT women’s call ups.

At 29, Rhea is by far the biggest star currently in the women’s division, and among the biggest stars in the company regardless of gender.

Women’s wrestling has been the highlight of the company over the past year or two, so anointing the division’s top star as the new face of WWE would be well deserved.

Logan Paul

Yes I know, I know, but can you really rule it out?

In 2026, WWE seems to be open to business for anyone, with WWE and TKO looking for who they deem the ‘most marketable’ star to position as the face of the company.

Logan Paul has already been praised by numerous WWE stars and legends, with him almost certainly a future world champion in WWE on his current trajectory.

I don’t like it, you don’t like it, but we have to accept it, there’s definitely a decent chance Logan Paul will eventually be seen as the face of WWE.

A Current AEW Star

The world of wrestling is nothing if not unpredictable, and the past few years have only proven that to be true.

If you asked fans back in 2021 who the next face of WWE would be, nobody would have said it would be current AEW Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes, but here we are.

While WWE has a number of young talents of it’s own, there are also plenty of young stars in AEW and other outside promotions should WWE not want to create their own next face.

Who it could end up being? It’s still far too early to tell, but given Cody Rhodes’ current position in the company, we can not rule out the possibility that the next ‘face of WWE’ currently works in Jacksonville, Florida.
