Over the past few months, we have seen a number of championships change hands on WWE programming.

Since WrestleMania 42, only Roman Reigns and Liv Morgan still reign as champions coming out of the show, with the title changes signifying a change of direction for the product.

With fan frustration continuing to grow, we could see some more title changes soon to help spark some freshness into Raw and SmackDown.

Here is our predicted next holder of every WWE main roster championship.

Women’s Tag Team Championship – Alexa Bliss & Tatum Paxley

Tatum Paxley joined forces with Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss upon her arrival to SmackDown

On the August 7 episode of WWE SmackDown, Charlotte Flair was able to pick up the victory in her grudge match against Jade Cargill.

Charlotte’s victory came thanks to the return of Alexa Bliss and the debut of former NXT Women’s Champion Tatum Paxley, who took out Michin and B-Fab at ringside.

Tatum and Alexa have instantly formed a connection on SmackDown, so they may end being the tag team going forward of the group.

With three women in this alliance and three members of Fatal Influence, an inevitable clash between them will likely be coming soon.

WWE Tag Team Championship – Shinsuke Nakamura & Hiromu Takahashi

Shinsuke Nakamura has been attempting to lure Tama Tonga away from the MFTs for a while now on WWE SmackDown.

However, it seems as though Nakamura’s attempts were unsuccessful, as Tama and his brother Talla Tonga are now stronger than ever with their legendary father Haku by their side.

Shinsuke has been teasing the arrival of a new tag team partner in recent weeks, which was all but confirmed in an exclusive from this week’s SmackDown to be former NJPW star Hiromu Takahashi.

Nakamura and Takahashi teaming up to dethrone the MFTs seems the logical next step.

World Tag Team Championship – The Usos

Raw’s Tag Team division, as ever, feels ice cold right now.

The Vision were recently in a feud with the Alpha Academy that seemed to be setting up Otis and Tozawa to dethrone the Vision thanks to Chad Gable, but WWE has seemingly moved on from that story already.

The Vision have no obvious next challengers due to Bron Breakker’s fixation on Oba Femi right now, so it really could be anyone that dethrones them.

The Usos feel like a safe bet as Roman Reigns looks to bring complete power back to his family.

Women’s United States Championship – Charlotte Flair

As mentioned earlier, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss now find themselves with an ally in the form of Tatum Paxley.

With Tatum and Alexa’s new friendship already blooming, that will free Charlotte up to challenge for singles gold once again.

Charlotte is a 14-time World Champion in WWE, though she has never held either of the midcard championships in the women’s division.

Charlotte becoming the Women’s United States Champion could lead to the title being treated with respect for the first time.

Women’s Intercontinental Championship – IYO SKY

Trying to predict women’s champions on the Raw brand is difficult due to the fact that there are only 8 women spotlighted in the division.

Raquel Rodriguez defeated Sol Ruca to become the Women’s Intercontinental Champion, and the two are still in a rivalry due to how little options there are on the Raw brand.

Sol recruited IYO SKY by her side to face off with the Judgment Day last week on Raw, with IYO neutralising Raquel in the process.

With nothing else for IYO to do on Raw after losing to Liv Morgan at SummerSlam, she will likely be the next person to juggle the IC title around in this ongoing Judgment Day ‘vortex’.

United States Championship – Trick Williams

Baron Corbin currently holds two pinfall victories over Trick Williams since his return to WWE back in July.

Corbin won his second United States Championship from Trick at SummerSlam in a move that seemed to be done in order to move Trick further up the card on SmackDown.

However, after his defence against Carmelo Hayes on last week’s SmackDown, Corbin and Trick are seemingly not done and are set for one more encounter.

Under no circumstance should Baron Corbin go 3-0 against Trick Williams, so we are likely headed to Trick winning back his title soon, given Corbin is still carrying around the title with fur on it.

Intercontinental Championship – Big Cass

In a similar manner to Baron Corbin, Big Cass is another former WWE star from the 2016 brand split who recently made his return to WWE to add midcard depth, only Cass joined the Raw roster.

Cass has already taken aim at a number of young stars on the roster, namely Je’von Evans and Dragon Lee, with him promising that more bodies will be left in his path.

With how WWE has booked 2026 so far, the company is likely setting up Big Cass to jump the queue over the rest of Raw’s midcard and take the Intercontinental Championship from Chad Gable.

Cass would make for the dominant mountain for Je’von Evans to climb, with the end goal being to transition the title from one popular babyface to another.

(Interim) WWE Women’s Championship – Tiffany Stratton

Chelsea Green captured the Interim WWE Women’s Championship back at SummerSlam in what was a great moment.

However, with Rhea Ripley’s return looming, Chelsea likely won’t hold onto the title for very long, as WWE will look to transition the belt onto a heel for Rhea to face.

Fortunately, WWE has stumbled into an easy story to tell with Tiffany Stratton and Chelsea Green, which would see Tiffany turn on Chelsea after Chelsea accidentally cost her the United States Championship.

Tiffany taking the title as a heel seems the natural play to make.

Women’s World Championship – Becky Lynch

After 100 days on inactivity, the Women’s World Championship was finally defended for the first time since WrestleMania 42 at SummerSlam, with Liv Morgan keeping ahold of the title.

However, the sharks have continued to circle Liv following the show, with Stephanie Vaquer and Becky Lynch both returning with their eyes on the title.

WWE recently announced that Monday Night Raw would be taking place in Dublin for the first time ever this January, with Becky likely set for a major role on the show.

If not before then, Becky will likely win the Women’s World Championship on that show.

Undisputed WWE Championship – Randy Orton

Randy Orton’s appearance at WWE SummerSlam 2026 was his first since losing to Cody Rhodes in the main event of WrestleMania 42 Night One.

Randy Orton made his return to WWE television back at SummerSlam night one, when he would cost Cody Rhodes the Undisputed WWE Championship match with CM Punk.

Orton came up short at winning his 15th World Championship against Cody at WrestleMania 42, with he and Rhodes set for a rematch at Sunday Night’s Main Event next month.

Orton’s return has sparked life in both SmackDown and Cody Rhodes, with a potential rematch for the title waiting for them down the line.

To get there, Randy will likely be the one to unseat CM Punk to win the Undisputed WWE Championship,

World Heavyweight Championship – LA Knight

Roman Reigns and Oba Femi seem destined for a World Heavyweight Championship showdown at WrestleMania 43 next year.

However, before then, Reigns will have to defend against LA Knight, likely at WWE Money In The Bank in October in New Orleans.

Solo Sikoa and LA Knight have been aligned against the Bloodline recently, so we could see Solo continue to rebel against his family and cost Roman the title against Knight at Money In The Bank.

Knight wouldn’t be in store for a long run, and would likely drop it back to Reigns, but the moment of him winning it would be incredible.
