Michael Cole has been the main voice of WWE for over the past two decades now, taking over the position previously taken by Jim Ross before him.
Since the start of the Triple H era, there has been a greater emphasis put on Cole’s legacy and how much he means to the company.
With Cole now at the age of 58 years old, he has more years in the rearview mirror than ahead of him, so it may be wise for WWE to think about possible replacements for the legendary commentator.
Here are six potential WWE replacements for Michael Cole.
6. Joe Tessitore
The most obvious option to be a replacement for Michael Cole eventually is of course, current SmackDown play-by-play commentator Joe Tessitore.
Brought into WWE in 2024, Tessitore came in with plenty of commentary experience from his days working with ABC and ESPN.
Since debuting in the company, Tessitore has taken to the position with flying colors and has excelled alongside Wade Barrett on the SmackDown brand.
Tessitore feels like someone who is being groomed to eventually take on the role currently assumed by Cole and has shown the poise to be suitable in the position.
