We now know when the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match between Jey Uso and Logan Paul will take place.
Uso won the championship from Gunther in the opening match of WrestleMania 41 last month.
Since then, Logan Paul, who beat AJ Styles at Mania, has had his sights set on Uso, attacking him numerous times.
It looked at one point like the match might have been set for tonight’s WWE Backlash premium live event, but that ended up not being the case.
Instead, Backlash tonight featured the official announcement of when Uso vs Paul will take place.
Jey Uso will officially defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Logan Paul at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event in Tampa, Florida on May 24.
It’ll be Jey Uso’s second defense of the championship as he retained against Seth Rollins on Raw this past Monday after the match went to a no contest due to outside interference from Bron Breakker, Sami Zayn and CM Punk.
Current Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena is also heavily featured in promotion and advertisements for SNME.
The show is part of a WWE ‘weekend takeover’ of Tampa, as NXT Battleground is set to take place in the same venue – the Yuenling Center – the following night.
