WWE has now shared footage of John Cena meeting with NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov backstage during his recent visit to NXT.
On Tuesday (October 10), Cena appeared on NXT to be in the corner of Carmelo Hayes, who was facing off against Bron Breakker, who was accompanied by Paul Heyman.
While in Orlando, Cena also took some time to speak to the current NXT Champion, Ilja Dragunov.
The Russian star recently took to Twitter to share a photo with the ‘Greatest of All Time’. Dragunov captioned the photo:
Respect.
The official NXT Twitter account has now shared a video of Cena and Dragunov talking backstage.
After receiving some pointers, Dragunov thanked Cena and shook his hand. You can watch the clip of the interaction below.
Dragunov won the NXT Title from Carmelo Hayes at the September 30 NXT No Mercy premium live event.
Cena isn’t the only WWE star to have given Dragunov his flowers recently, with another main roster star stating that Dragunov is the ‘full package’.
