The real reason why Chelsea Green didn’t appear in person on this week’s edition of WWE Monday Night Raw has been revealed

Since her return to WWE TV at last month’s Royal Rumble premium live event, Green has appeared in several segments alongside onscreen official Adam Pearce.

The segment on the February 20 edition of Raw was a little different however, with Green calling Pearce on air to reveal that the travel department sent her to Ottawa, Illinois, not Ottawa, Canada, where the taping was taking place.

Per Fightful Select (subscription required), WWE chose to do the segment to ‘bridge the gap’ until they had left Canada, as Green currently can’t enter the country.

Green is currently landlocked and must remain in the US while she waits for her ‘permanent resident’ green card. Fightful noted that this has been the case for months.

So yep, there was no Green on the card because she doesn’t have her green card.

The report noted that Green was in New York on Monday to watch The Last Match: A Pro Wrestling Rock Musical, which features her husband, Matt Cardona.

Green and Cardona recently revealed that they have now purchased a lot where they will build their home.

Green last wrestled on the February 10 edition of SmackDown, teaming with Sonya Deville in a losing effort against Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez.
