WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley has teased a special stipulation for her title defence at WrestleMania 40.

With Bayley winning the right to challenge for a world title at the 2024 Royal Rumble event (January 27), it seems as if her potential challenger for WrestleMania 40: Rhea Ripley, already has a stipulation in mind.

Taking to Twitter, Ripley responded to Bayley, who had stated that she plans to defeat Mami at ‘Mania.

Teasing a match that hasn’t been seen in WWE since October 2015, saying:

Iron woman match?

Which led to a response from Bayley, who reminded Ripley of her history competing in the contest over eight years ago:

I’m 1-0 in that match. (It was the first women’s main event on a PLE ever). Let’s go

The first, and only Iron Woman match in WWE took place at NXT Takeover: Respect, with Bayley defending the NXT Women’s Championship against Sasha Banks.

While Bayley has stated on WWE TV that she will crossover to Raw to challenge Ripley, many fans instead expect the Role Model to eventually end up facing her Damage CTRL teammate and current WWE Women’s Champion IYO SKY.

It remains to be seen how things will play out on WWE TV, although Ripley does at least have one extra gripe against Bayley following the Rumble match; as a record previously held by The Eradicator was broken by the 2024 Rumble winner.
