Hall of Famer JBL has commented on the possibility of him returning to the WWE commentary team full-time.
The former WWE Champion established himself as an unpredictable force in 2024, making surprise appearances for the likes of TNA Wrestling, AAA and MLW.
Following his previous stint as a WWE commentator, JBL has revealed that if there was a spot for him, he would be interested in returning to the company’s commentary team.
Noting that he doesn’t believe there’s a spot behind the WWE commentary desk for him right now, JBL stated the following on Something To Wrestle:
“Of course I’d be interested, but there’s not a spot available, and I don’t see one coming open. You have great commentators right now.
“I think Pat McAfee does a great job. I think Wade does a great job. I think Booker is doing a great job. Corey, I love those guys, and you’ve got wonderful guys who are filling the (WWE) roles incredibly well, better than I could do so there’s no role available.
“Would I enjoy it? Of course I would. Yeah, I had a lot of fun being around the boys and a lot of fun working with Michael, but there’s no spot available, and so there’s no future in a commentary role.”
