WWE Star ‘Inadvertently’ Cheats To Win Main Event Match

On tonight’s WWE Raw, Sami Zayn had his first match on WWE TV in nearly two months as he took on Drew McIntyre.

Taking on the man that ‘took him out’ back in December 2023, Sami Zayn had his first singles match on television tonight in the main event of Raw.

Sami Zayn returned in the 2024 WWE Royal Rumble but he made his return to Raw and singles action tonight, January 29.

Zayn appeared earlier in the night, saving a legitimately injured CM Punk from an attack from Drew McIntyre, which set up Zayn vs McIntyre in the night’s main event.

After an enjoyable match, there was an exciting final sequence which saw first McIntyre hit a huge White Noise on Zayn however Sami was able to kick out, much to McIntyre’s surprise.

Drew McIntyre further cemented his heelish ways, yelling at Sami Zayn near the end the match, telling him that he just isn’t in the same league as him.

As Sami Zayn attempted a Helluva Kick, it appeared McIntyre hit Zayn with a low blow to block the kick, although since he made it seem as though it was inadvertent, the match was not called off.

McIntyre then finished Sami Zayn with a Claymore and picked up the pinfall victory.

Elsewhere on tonight’s WWE Raw, Andrade made his first appearance since his return at Royal Rumble 2024 and officially signed with a brand.
