WWE Star Teasing Match With John Cena?

John Cena is to make an appearance at tonight’s WWE Payback premium live event in Pittsburgh.

Cena is set to serve as the host of the event, as announced on last night’s episode of SmackDown.

While Cena’s role on Payback is not currently known, many have speculated that he could make an appearance on the Grayson Waller Effect with Cody Rhodes.

The rumours come from a report that WWE has discussed a potential match between Cena and Rhodes for Cena’s ongoing return run.

Ahead of the Segment, Waller took to Twitter to preview the segment, where he teased a potential match with Cena.

Waller said he was reading Cena’s book, and quoted a passage from the book, before saying he would ‘hopefully teach him [Cody] how to finish a story’.

Alongside Cena appearing at Payback tonight, there has also been discussions within the company of him appearing at the Fastlane premium live event next month.
