WWE
WWE announced the cards for both nights of WrestleMania 42 on ESPN and made sure the world knew what they would see this weekend in Las Vegas.
Despite these cards being set, there could be some last-minute matches that could be added to the lineups in the next few days ahead of this weekend.
Whether it be a grudge match or a title bout, WWE could bolster Mania in a significant way heading into Saturday and Sunday.
Here are six potential last-minute matches to be added to WWE WrestleMania 42.
IYO SKY vs. Asuka

Asuka helped Kairi Sane defeat IYO SKY on the WWE Raw before WrestleMania 42
Over the past few weeks, the rivalry between IYO SKY and Asuka has simmered to a boiling point once again.
In 2025, Asuka returned to WWE and looked to reunite with her former Damage CTRL stablemates in IYO SKY and Kairi Sane.
However, the success of SKY and her friendship with Rhea Ripley led to Asuka turning on her former protegè. It also led to a more domineering version of ‘The Empress of Tomorrow,’ who has mentally and physically abused her other protege in Sane.
IYO facing Asuka is the one match that fans want to see as the two ladies are decorated champions who deserve to be on the WrestleMania 42 card more than anyone.
Solo Sikoa vs. Uncle Howdy – Bloodline Rules Match
Over the past six months, The MFTs and The Wyatt Sicks have been embroiled in a bitter faction war.
On the April 17 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, the two stables will clash once again in an eight-man tag team Street Fight.
While this bout could put a close to this rivalry, there should be one more match between the two leaders of these groups.
Solo Sikoa and Uncle Howdy facing off in a Bloodline Rules match would be a fitting conclusion to the war that has been waged on Friday Night SmackDown over the past few months and feels appropriate for the WrestleMania 42 card.
Maxxine Dupri vs. Nattie – Bloodsport Match

Natalya introduced her Nattie persona to WWE by dominating Maxxine Dupri
Back in January, Nattie turned heel on Maxxine Dupri, costing her the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Becky Lynch on Monday Night Raw.
Since then, Nattie has attacked and defeated Dupri to show her dominance over her former protege.
Wanting to get revenge after her last loss, Dupri could emerge to issue a challenge against the Hart Family member at WrestleMania 42.
Nattie facing Maxxine in her specialty of a Bloodsport Match would be a logical direction to go between these two rivals on ‘The Grandest Stage of Them All.’
Danhausen vs. The Miz
At WWE Elimination Chamber 2026, Danhausen made his debut with the company as the individual who was revealed inside of the mystery crate.
Since making his arrival to WWE, Danhausen has made life a living hell for certain stars by cursing them, including The Miz.
After wanting ‘The A-Lister’ to be his mentor, Danhausen cursed The Miz, which has led to several different interactions between the two men on Friday Night SmackDown.
With his first win against Kit Wilson on the April 10 SmackDown in the books, it might be time for Danhausen to clash with The Miz at WrestleMania 42 in an impromptu match.
Los Americanos (El Grande, Bravo & Rayo Americano) vs. The Original El Grande Americano & The Creed Brothers (Julius & Brutus Creed)

Ludwig Kaiser took over the El Grande Americano character when Chad Gable suffered an injury last year
In a rivalry that has spanned both WWE and Lucha Libre AAA, El Grande Americano and The Original El Grande Americano has become one of the most personal and heated rivalries in wrestling right now.
While it has been prominent on WWE TV, this battle of Americanos has reached a fever pitch in Mexico for AAA.
That has led to a Mask vs. Mask Match being announced for the upcoming AAA Noche De Los Grandes event on May 30.
Despite this announced match, WWE could put a bigger spotlight on this feud by having The Original El Grande team with The Creed Brothers to face Los Americanos in a six-man tag on the WrestleMania 42 premium live event.
WWE Women’s United States Championship: Giulia (c) vs. Tiffany Stratton
Heading into WrestleMania 42, Tiffany Stratton has set her sights on Giulia’s WWE Women’s United States Championship.
‘The Beautiful Madness’ is enjoying her second reign as the Women’s US Champion and even defeated Stratton in a non-title match on the March 27 episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
While this rivalry has not been featured on SmackDown over the past few weeks, Stratton, Giulia and the Women’s US Title deserves to be highlighted on the Mania card.
Stratton challenging Giulia could make for an unlikely showstealer that fans will not forget coming out of ‘The Grandest Stage of Them All.’
