WWE
The WWE future of Bayley is becoming increasingly uncertain with her contract coming up and the possibility of a move to AEW.
She’s been off TV since she was beaten by Lyra Valkyria at Saturday Night’s Main Event in July, but has worked live events since then and remains with the company for now.
If she is to have a ceremonious sendoff and a final WWE match, here are five possibilities for her last opponent.
5. Lyra Valkyria
As things stand, if Bayley leaves WWE without appearing on TV again, Lyra Valkyria will go down as the person who beat her out of the company.
Bayley and Lyra’s story took a few turns and it was Bayley at the start who seemed like the one who would turn on Lyra, but it ended up being the other way around.
If WWE wants to give Bayley a pre-announced sendoff rather than simply a disappearance, she could come back for one last time to put Valkyria over once again, cementing her status going forward.
4. Roxanne Perez
Roxanne Perez is in the generation of women that came after Bayley, with Bayley essentially being an inspiration to her.
They have had the occasional match, but that fact has never really been played up a whole lot with the exception of a brief time when Bayley went back to NXT and they were involved in a four-way with Cora Jade and Giulia.
It could be worthwhile to give Perez the distinction of being the last person to defeat Bayley in WWE in a heartfelt passing of the torch moment.
3. Kendal Grey
If there is one woman in NXT that could be labeled the future of WWE, it’s Kendal Grey.
In short order, Grey has established herself as one of the most promising stars not just in the women’s division and not just in WWE, but across any gender in all of pro-wrestling.
It would be a major but deserved seal of approval from both WWE and Bayley if she beats the multi-time world champion on her way out of the company.
2. Jacy Jayne
Similarly, Jacy Jayne has impressed in NXT for several years and is now breaking out on the WWE main roster as well, winning the Women’s United States Championship this past Friday.
Arguably a better fit due to her status as a heel, Jayne could get some real mileage out of being the person to beat Bayley out of WWE.
There’s even a bit of history to bring up with the Toxic Attraction split taking place on Bayley’s Ding Dong Hello talk show that could be played into, but even outside of that, Jayne would be a good fit.
1. Becky Lynch & Charlotte Flair
With Mercedes Mone in AEW for the past couple of years, the three remaining Four Horsewomen in WWE are Bayley, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair.
That number will be reduced to two if Bayley does indeed leave WWE – and she’ll probably end up reuniting with Mone in AEW if that ends up being the case.
WWE has a chance to close the chapter on the Four Horsewomen and Bayley’s association with it with the ultimate story ender in the form of a three-way match with the remaining members.
