Predicting The Match Order For WWE SummerSlam 2026 Night One

This week WWE announced the lineups for both Nights One and Two of SummerSlam 2026 for the huge two-night premium live event from Minneapolis, Minnesota.

It is yet to be determined what the order of the matches on WWE SummerSlam 2026 Night 1 on Saturday, August 1.

Wanting to deliver one of their best shows of the year, the match order will be important to how fans look back on ‘The Biggest Party of the Summer.’

Here are our predictions for the match order for WWE SummerSlam 2026 Night One.

Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi In A Hell In A Cell Match

At WWE WrestleMania 42 Night Two, Oba Femi defeated Brock Lesnar in what was the biggest win of his career.

After this loss, Lesnar decided to remove his gloves and boots, leaving them in the ring to indicate that he was retiring from in-ring competition. However, Lesnar made his return to WWE just one month later to attack ‘The Ruler’ and set up a rematch.

This led to ‘The Beast Incarnate’ getting his revenge with a win over Femi at Clash In Italy 2026, but Oba did not let this loss sit with him. After calling him out for weeks, Lesnar returned and attacked Femi to set up a Hell In A Cell showdown.

Considering all the animosity between these two men, Femi and Lesnar inside Hell In A Cell would be the perfect hot start to the WWE SummerSlam 2026 PLE and give the fans one of the biggest matches of the weekend to start.

Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley & Lainey Reid) vs. Paige & The Bella Twins (Nikki & Brie Bella)

Ever since their arrival on the WWE main roster, Fatal Influence have become a thorn in the side of a majority of the women’s locker room.

On the July 18 edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, Lainey Reid and Fallon Henley defeated Paige and Brie Bella to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.

Then after a win over Reid in a singles match on the July 24 SmackDown, Brie Bella and Paige were jumped by Fatal Influence until the returning Nikki Bella made the save.

This set the stage for a huge six-woman tag team battle that would be best served early in the card for WWE SummerSlam 2026 Night One.

GUNTHER vs. Nick Aldis

Following his loss in the Undisputed WWE Championship main event at Night of Champions 2026, GUNTHER blamed SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis and physically confronted him backstage.

After protesting the CM Punk vs. Cody Rhodes Undisputed WWE Championship match for SummerSlam 2026, GUNTHER attacked Aldis with a sleeper hold.

Thanks to this attack, Aldis got his revenge by costing GUNTHER and Sami Zayn their tag team match against Rhodes and Punk on the July 18 WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Now that it is official that they will meet in a singles match, GUNTHER vs. Aldis would be the ideal midpoint to the WWE SummerSlam 2026 Night One card.

LA Knight, Solo Sikoa & Royce Keys vs. The Bloodline (Jacob Fatu, Jimmy & Jey Uso)

Over the past several weeks, a new alliance has been formed to take down The Bloodline.

LA Knight has been the most vocal detractor of Roman Reigns and company since they reunited following WWE WrestleMania 42, while Solo Sikoa and Royce Keys have both had their falling outs with Jacob Fatu and The Bloodline in recent weeks.

This has led to Knight aligning with Keys and Sikoa to take on Fatu and The Usos at WWE SummerSlam 2026 Night One.

Due to all the time dedicated to this feud in the past few weeks, it makes sense if this bout took place later in the evening on the first night of SummerSlam.

WWE Women’s World Championship: Liv Morgan (c) vs. IYO SKY

At WWE Night of Champions 2026, IYO SKY defeated Liv Morgan to win the Queen of the Ring tournament finals.

Thanks to this victory, SKY had the chance to choose which world champion she would like to challenge at WWE SummerSlam 2026 with ‘The Genius of the Sky’ choosing Morgan.

With nothing in their way come Saturday, this is truly one of the highest profile title clashes on the SummerSlam 2026 card.

Placing SKY vs. Morgan in the semi main event would show everyone just how important this bout is to the company on such a big show.

Undisputed WWE Championship: CM Punk (c) vs. Cody Rhodes

WWE has already announced that CM Punk defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes will headline SummerSlam 2026 Night One.

Over the past couple of weeks, fans have seen the animosity and tension grow between the two longtime friends.

Rhodes feels some resentment towards Punk for following the missions set out from his infamous ‘Pipebomb’ promo, while ‘The Best In The World’ is focused on holding onto his gold and proving himself to be better than his friend.

Punk and Rhodes will deliver a truly defining match this Saturday that undoubtedly will be one of the biggest matches of 2026 for WWE.
