On Friday, August 21, Ring of Honor returns to pay-per-view for their second major show of the year, ROH Death Before Dishonor 2026.

Live from the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, there will be title matches and scores being settled.

With a six match lineup at the time of this writing, it should be interesting to see who walks out victorious this Friday.

ROH Women’s World Championship: Athena (c) vs. Hazuki

On the July 30 edition of AEW Collision, STARDOM’s Hazuki teamed with The Brawling Birds to pick up a win over MIT’s Athena, Billie Starkz and Diamante.

During this six-woman tag, Hazuki gained the ire of “The Fallen Goddess.”

This led to Athena challenging the STARDOM talent to face her for the ROH Women’s World Title at Death Before Dishonor 2026.

Recently passing 1,300 days as champion, Athena is looking to continue her historic run at this show.

Meanwhile, Hazuki has been denied a major singles title during her entire career with STARDOM.

This title clash could prove to be a showstealer and potential Match of the Year candidate.

Despite coming in fired up, it looks like Athena has everything it takes to retain the gold at Death Before Dishonor 2026.

ROH Women’s Pure Championship: Deonna Purrazzo (c) vs. Steph De Lander

Earlier this summer, Deonna Purrazzo was scheduled to face Steph De Lander for the ROH Women’s Pure Title.

However, the match was prematurely cut short when Purrazzo suffered an injury.

In recent weeks, SDL has been appearing on ROH TV and even scored a win in a Pure Rules Match against Rachael Ellering.

This led to De Lander challenging “The Virtuosa” for the Women’s Pure Championship.

With this bout scheduled for ROH Death Before Dishonor 2026, this should lead to Purrazzo retaining the title in Philadelphia.

ROH Pure Championship: Lee Moriarty (c) vs. Nigel McGuinnness

Back at ROH Final Battle 2024, Nigel McGuinness returned for his first match in the company in years.

On that night, McGuinness came up short against Lee Moriarty for the ROH Pure Championship.

Then, Moriarty and McGuinness faced each other again in an Iron Man Match at the Final Battle 2025 event.

This time, Moriarty once again defeated the legend and proved his dominance over him.

However, McGuinness became number one contender for the ROH Pure Title after defeating Josh Woods at Supercard of Honor 2026.

Wanting to up the ante, McGuinness has stated if he cannot beat Moriarty this time, then he will never wrestle in Ring of Honor.

Considering the importance of his legacy to ROH, it should be Nigel who finally gets the win over Moriarty to become a two-time Pure Champion at Death Before Dishonor.

ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championships: Dalton Castle & The Outrunners (Turbo Floyd & Truth Magnum) (c) vs. Lethal Twist (Jay Lethal, Blake Christian & Lee Johnson)

Over the past few months, Lethal Twist have taken aim at the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Titles.

Jay Lethal, Blake Christian and Lee Johnson have been focused on bringing gold to their unit as of late.

Since Dalton Castle and The Outrunners won the gold at ROH Supercard of Honor, it has been Lethal Twist that has stood in their way.

Now, the stage is set for Castle and The Outrunners to defend the titles against Lethal Twist at ROH Death Before Dishonor 2026.

While Lethal, Christian and Johnson come in with a ton of momentum, Castle and The Outrunners should retain on this occasion.

ROH World TV Championship Fight Without Honor: “Blackheart” Lio Rush (c) vs. Action Andretti

“Blackheart” Lio Rush has become one of the most popular and fascinating characters in wrestling today.

After months of being ignored by his former CRU tag team partner, Action Andretti turned on Rush by costing him his ROH World TV Title Match against AR Fox at Supercard of Honor 2026.

Then, at the ROH Global Wars Cincinnati event, Rush defeated Andretti and Fox in a three-way to become the new ROH World TV Champion.

This has led to Andretti becoming a thorn in his side and attacking his former partner at various points.

Now, Rush will defend the Ring of Honor World Television Championship against Action Andretti at Death Before Dishonor 2026.

Wanting to settle the score for good, Rush and Andretti will do battle in a Fight Without Honor.

In what should be a brutal match, Blackheart has too much momentum not to win at the PPV.

ROH World Championship: Bandido (c) vs. Nick Wayne

Heading into ROH Death Before Dishonor 2026, there did not seem to be an obvious challenger for Bandido‘s ROH World Title.

However, Nick Wayne has emerged as the newest top contender for the gold.

Wayne will now challenge for the ROH World Title for the first time when he faces Bandido at Death Before Dishonor 2026.

Looking to become the youngest ROH World Champion in history, Wayne will come into this bout highly motivated.

Meanwhile, Bandido is on the verge of history, closing in on the record for longest-reigning ROH World Champion in history.

Considering the lack of build and the record coming soon, Bandido should walk out of Philly still ROH World Champion at Death Before Dishonor on August 21.
