AEW Star Turns Heel On Dynamite, Joins Top Faction AEW

An AEW star turned heel on tonight’s episode of Dynamite by officially aligning themselves with one of the company’s top factions.

Tonight’s AEW Dynamite saw a 10-man tag team match close the show, with $500,000 on the line The Young Bucks and Death Riders picked up the win against The Opps and Brodido, with Matt and Nick Jackson sneaking a pinfall victory over Bandido.

The result triggered a brawl on the outside between The Bucks and Brodido, while The Death Riders looked to take out each member of The Opps, that was until Jon Moxley’s AEW All Out opponent Darby Allin stormed the ring.

However, after hitting Moxley with a dropkick, Darby was laid out from behind by a mystery attacker dressed in a hoodie, who revealed himself to be none other than Daniel Garcia.

Garcia, who Moxley had been trying to get in the ear of on several occasions over the past few weeks, would then lead an assault on Darby, stomping his head into a steel chair twice as Moxley circled his All Out opponent’s body.

After continuing his assault on a motionless Darby, Garcia would eventually be held back by Marina Shafir and Moxley, before all three left the ringside area through the crowd.

Teases of a Daniel Garcia heel turn have been ongoing for much of the last month, with AEW seemingly building towards the former TNT Champion turning on Nigel McGuinness whilst in the AEW commentator’s corner for his IWGP Heavyweight Championship match against Zack Sabre Jr. at Forbidden Door.

Jon Moxley would then defeat Garcia on both the August 27 episode of Dynamite and the September 6 Collision, with Garcia shoving long-time friend Daddy Magic after the bell before expressing his frustration with his recent losses in a post match promo.
