Big E has reacted to New Day stablemates Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods’ WWE departure which was confirmed earlier today.
It was announced earlier today that Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods have departed WWE, with the decision said to be a ‘mutual decision’.
New Day officially formed in 2014, with Kofi, Woods and Big E coming together to form the group, with them going on to last for 11 years in the company, capturing 12 tag team championships together.
Kofi and Woods would continue the New Day alone in 2022 after Big E retired due to his broken neck, before he was ultimately removed from the group on the 10-year anniversary, with Kofi and Woods beginning their heel run.

Taking to social media, Big E shared a reaction image of the New Day’s WWE departure.

New Day’s Next Move Following WWE Departure
There has been a lot of discussion and speculation about what the future of the New Day may have in store.
The reason for New Day’s WWE departure is reportedly due to WWE and TKO looking to restructure their contracts to ‘TKO contracts’ after the pair had both signed new contracts with the company last year.
Following the news of their departure, many names in AEW, including MJF, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler of FTR and Tommaso Ciampa have expressed their interest in the pair coming to the company when they are free to do so.
There is also reportedly a ‘lot of excitement’ about the possibility of the New Day coming into the company following their WWE departure.
Other than a potential AEW run, Xavier Woods specifically has a number of avenues outside of wrestling in the video game world that he may look to explore.
