As 2024 comes to an end, further details of plans for WWE WrestleMania 41 have emerged and they feature CM Punk.
WWE WrestleMania 41 takes place on April 19 & 20 2025 at the Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada.
Branded as WrestleMania Vegas, Triple H has recently teased a “mile-long” celebrity list for the two-night WWE PLE.
While no matches have been announced for the upcoming event, it appears that we could be seeing CM Punk in a prominent role.
Punk didn’t get a match at WrestleMania 40 in 2024, having suffered a triceps injury at the WWE Royal Rumble.
It was later revealed that Punk and Seth Rollins had been set to take place at the April 6 & 7 event this year.
WrestleVotes has now revealed the current plans for Punk during a recent episode of the Backstage Q&A.
It was revealed that WWE sees Punk in the championship picture at WrestleMania, stating:
“I’ve heard so many things on Punk, especially as of late with the Roman stuff being thrown in there. But the one main factor that I’ve heard almost all year is they want him to be involved in a world title match.
“I don’t know how the puzzle pieces are going to fit but they want him at the top. I don’t think it’ll be with Cody, so that’s one title match out the window.
“Does he fit into the other one? I’m going to say yes at this point. I don’t think it’ll be Gunther, Bill [Apter], that’s the thing.”
GUNTHER is the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion and defended the the title against Finn Balor and Damian Priest at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 14.
With a spot in the match going awry, it was later reported that GUNTHER received a lot of praise backstage for saving the ending of the match.
With The Rock having made a recent appearance at WWE Bad Blood, there was also uncertainty about the involvement of The Rock at WrestleMania.
