Kevin Owens has shown his support for The New Day’s Kofi Kingston as they handle individual challenges on WWE SmackDown and Raw respectively.
The December 7 episode of WWE SmackDown saw a sit down interview between Owens and Michael Cole, taking place in the parking lot of the Target Center.
Cole took exception to Owens’ attitude over Cody Rhodes, with the interview reportedly “well received” backstage.
Over on WWE Raw, in the wake of Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston ejecting Big E from The New Day, they’ve found themselves on the receiving end of an overwhelmingly negative reaction from fans.
Kingston expressed his disappointment with the fans in Wichita, Kansas both at WWE Raw and on social media for not letting The New Day speak.
While The New Day may not have the support of Cody Rhodes, who was visiting Raw GM Adam Pearce, they do have the support of Kevin Owens.
In response to Kingston’s tweet about the disappointing fan reception, Owens reposted the message with one of his own that read:
“I’m listening.”
Owens recently took issue with the fact that he wasn’t booked for WWE Survivor Series: WarGames, despite the show taking place in Canada.
Cody Rhodes will put the Undisputed WWE Championship on the line when Saturday Night’s Main Event heads to Long Island on December 14.
Their feud has been building since WWE Bad Blood on October 5 with Owens attacking Rhodes outside the venue after the PLE.
