Kenny Omega has responded to a top NJPW star’s challenge for the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door event in June.
As previously mentioned, NJPW star Will Ospreay tweeted about his upcoming match against Hiroshi Tanahashi at Wrestling Dontaku saying he will be paying homage to a wrestler that has impacted his career before becoming the “Ultimate Grand Slam Champion”.
Kenny Omega replied to the tweet saying:
You’re making it way too obvious, but thanks, I guess. ?♂️
On Tuesday, Ospreay responded to Kenny Omega, asking if the former AEW World Champion would be alright for June to tease a potential match between the two for the Forbidden Door event.
Omega has now replied with a simple gif:

The two stars have traded barbs on social media in the past, including when Omega was ranked #1 in the PWI 500 rankings for 2021.
Kenny Omega has been out of action since dropping the AEW World Championship to Hangman Adam Page at Full Gear 2021 to undergo various surgeries for the multitude of injuries he worked with.
A recent report provided an update on if Omega would be able to return in time for AEW Double Or Nothing or the Forbidden Door event, which you can find here.
