The premiere date for Heels on Starz has been revealed.
In 2021, Heels premiered with an 8-episode first season that ended in October. Starz announced in November that the program had been renewed for a second season.
Starz has announced that the second season of Heels will premiere on October 9.
The series, based in the fictional town of Duffy, Georgia, is a deep exploration of professional wrestling on an independent level and what drives those at that level to pursue and maintain their dreams.
The Spade family are the nucleus of the series. The family is led by Duffy Wrestling League owner, booker and lead heel Jack Space (Stephen Amell of “Arrow”) attempt to keep the DWL going in the wake of the recent death of the family patriarch, legendary pro wrestler Tom Spade.
The first season of the series featured some great cameos from around the wrestling world.
This included CM Punk as grizzled Southern wrestling veteran Ricky Rabies and Mick Foley playing a podcaster who will stop at nothing to get to the truth during an interview with Jack Spade.
As previously mentioned, CM Punk is currently injured following his AEW World Title win at All Out and may have been suspended following his participation in the post-show backstage fight with The Elite.
