6 Returns At WWE SummerSlam 2026

The SummerSlam premium live event has become synonymous with some of the biggest returns in WWE of the entire year.

From Roman Reigns in 2020 to Brock Lesnar in 2021 and 2025, these returns have sent shockwaves in the company and altered the landscape in a massive way.

Looking at the current crop talent injured or absent from WWE television at this time, there could be some important returning stars showing up in Minneapolis this August.

Here are six potential returns at WWE SummerSlam 2026.

6. Stephanie Vaquer

Another name fans have not seen on WWE programming in the past few months is Stephanie Vaquer.

After losing the WWE Women’s World Championship to Liv Morgan at WrestleMania 42, “La Primera” was attacked by The Judgment Day, who injured her shoulder in the process.

Having been absent from the company’s television since the April 27 edition of WWE Raw, Vaquer has been missed and could add a great deal to the Raw women’s division with a return.

Vaquer returning for WWE SummerSlam 2026 could see her helping IYO SKY against Liv Morgan for the WWE Women’s World Championship.

5. Bronson Reed

Ahead of WWE Elimination Chamber 2026, Bronson Reed suffered a torn biceps injury that has had him sidelined for the past few months.

Considering that he has started posting photos of him training on social media, Reed might be on his way back to WWE TV.

Reed returning could see him reuniting with The Vision and helping the group restore their momentum.

With his size and intensity, Reed might show up at WWE SummerSlam 2026 to make The Vision feel whole once again.

4. Baron Corbin

For the past few months, there have been rumors about various former WWE stars who could be on the way back to the company.

At the top of the list of former WWE stars to potentially return to the promotion has been Baron Corbin.

Getting released in November 2024, Corbin successfully reinvented himself as Bishop Dyer and has made a name for himself in several different promotions, such as Major League Wrestling, Maple Leaf Pro and GCW.

Dyer becoming Corbin again with a return to WWE SummerSlam 2026 would be huge and add some depth to the roster once again.

3. Enzo Amore & Big Cass

Another pair of former WWE stars who might be making their way back to the company are Enzo Amore and Big Cass.

After last being seen in WWE all the way back in 2018, Enzo has recently found himself in the headlines after being discussed as a potential free agent signing and being spotted backstage at the Performance Center ahead of a NXT TV taping.

Most recently, Big Bill reportedly gave his notice that he was leaving All Elite Wrestling at the end of his contract amidst rumored interest from WWE.

Considering the current state of WWE, it would be quite fitting to see Enzo and Cass make their return at SummerSlam 2026 and become a major part of the tag team scene moving forward.

2. Drew McIntyre

At WWE WrestleMania 42 Night One, Jacob Fatu defeated Drew McIntyre in an Unsanctioned Match.

Since this loss, McIntyre has been absent from WWE programming with no signs of his return.

However, “The Scottish Warrior” could be on the road to a comeback after completing the filming of his role in the new Highlander reboot movie.

Waiting for the best time possible at WWE SummerSlam 2026, McIntyre could make an immediate impact by coming back into the fold in Minneapolis.

1. Randy Orton

Another WWE star who has been missing from the company’s programming since WrestleMania 42 is Randy Orton.

At Mania Night One, Orton lost to Cody Rhodes in an Undisputed WWE Championship match. After the bout, “The Legend Killer” laid out Rhodes with a Punt Kick to the skull.

After being absent for the past few months, Orton could instantly become a key player in the main event picture with a return at WWE SummerSlam 2026.

Whether it be attacking the winner of the Undisputed WWE Championship match or confronting a top star like Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins, Orton has plenty of ways that he can get everyone’s attention again at SummerSlam 2026.
