New Second Generation WWE Stars To Debut

While it also comes with a lot of judgmental eyes, being a second generation wrestler helps instantly build intrigue into a young wrestler’s career.

Just recently we saw the debut of Zilla Fatu, the son of the late Umaga, in NXT, with him set to challenge for the NXT Championship in his first match for the company this weekend.

There are a number of top WWE stars with second generation pedigree, including Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton and Charlotte Flair, and we could see more debut soon.

Here are some more second generation WWE stars we could soon see debut.

Marie Malenko (Kenzie)

Back in May, WWE announced four new signings to the WWE Performance Center, which included Mason Rook and Reina Volcan, who have since made their debuts on NXT television.

Among that list of signings was Lacey Simon, also known as Marie Malenko, the daughter of Dean Malenko, who has yet to make her debut on NXT television.

It has recently been reported that Marie Malenko is slated to go by the name ‘Kenzie’ in WWE, so with her new ring name decided, it’s only a matter of time before we see her on television.

Joseph Chavis

At WWE’s most recent tryouts, one very interesting name was present, that being Joseph Chavis, the son of WWE legend Tatanka.

A former football player, Chavis is now working towards a professional wrestling career, with him having been training at the dungeon with Nattie and TJ Wilson under the guidance of Jacob Fatu.

Shawn Michaels also recently spoke about Chavis’ performance at the tryouts, praising his performance and saying he’s excited to watch his progress.

“Tatanka’s son was at one of our last tryouts. He did a really good job, so I’m excited to see the progression of that young man once he comes in the doors.”

Avery Styles

Just months into his wrestling journey, the son of the Phenomenal One has already been making waves in the industry.

Avery recently appeared at the WWE Performance Center where he shared a photo with other second generational wrestlers, as well as also working with Nattie and TJ Wilson in the Dungeon.

Avery signed his first wrestling contract with TNA Wrestling at the company’s Lockdown event this past weekend, and with the company’s partnership with WWE, we could see the Phenomenal Son appear on WWE television before the end of the year.

Even so, it seems inevitable that Avery will be in WWE before long.

Thamiko Fatu

After the debut of Zilla Fatu in NXT, eyes immediately turned to who could be the next member of the Bloodline Family to debut in WWE.

Zilla isn’t the only Fatu that was wrestling in the independents, as yet another son of Rikishi, Thamiko Fatu, is doing just that.

Obviously with the Fatu last name, it would make sense if we one day see Thamiko link up with the rest of his family in WWE.

Elijah Holyfield

While not the son of a wrestler, Elijah Holyfield also comes with some name pedigree, being the son of legendary boxer Evander Holyfield.

Holyfield has yet to debut on NXT television, though he has been working on Evolve and been part of WWE LFG.

A recent clip from LFG saw Shawn Michaels inform Holyfield that he had the opportunity to work in AAA in the future, with his debut potentially set to take place soon.
