Jade Cargill has revealed she intends to focus at WWE Clash in Italy, having suffered a loss to Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 42 back in April.
Night 2 of WWE WrestleMania 42 saw Jade Cargill lose the Women’s Championship to Rhea Ripley, with the pair heading to Clash in Italy for a rematch.
Ahead of the May 31 WWE Premium Live Event, Cargill spoke to ESPN First Take and was asked if her loss at WrestleMania 42 was the toughest moment in her career, responding:
“It is, it is. But you know, you learn from these moments, and they make you tougher.
“I was playing with my food, and I should have just struck when I was hot. So, we’ve learned from it, and this Sunday at Clash in Italy I’m taking that title back home with me.”

When it comes to how Cargill’s approach at Clash in Italy will manifest, the WWE star stated:
“Focus. Focus… I was too into the crowd. The crowd was feeling me, they were booing me, and I was just blinded by the lights.
“This time, I’m just going in for the kill shot. I’m not going to sit there and play with my food, and my girls know now to listen to me.
“So, the mission is there. I know what I’m going to do. Nobody’s going to stop me, and let’s just make this quick and short, I get paid by the match, not by the second.”

The “girls” in question would be Michin and B-Fab, with Cargill sharing the conversation after the match at Allegiant Stadium, confirming lessons had been learned.
Dominating the Women’s Division
With two women’s world championships up for grabs, the division sees Rhea Ripley as Women’s Champion and Liv Morgan as Women’s World Champion, with the former having held both titles in two separate reigns apiece.
The Women’s Championship was a replacement for the WWE Divas Championship which was retired in April 2016 at WrestleMania 32, signalling a shift in the direction for the division that continues into its tenth year.
Ripley has been a dominant force in the women’s division, whether she wore a title or not, delivering an impressive catalog of top-tier in-ring performances and being involved in a number of storylines that will likely be remembered for years to come.
By contrast, Cargill arrived in WWE in late 2023, following a successful and dominant run in AEW that saw her as the inaugural TBS Champion. A former two-time Women’s Tag Team Champion, the very presence of Cargill is enough to pique interest, addressing whether she’d “lived up to the hype” at the WrestleMania 42 Countdown show.
Ripley’s legacy in WWE has been assured with many years ahead for the star. Cargill continues to build a legacy of her own, with high profile feuds, including against Tiffany Stratton, who reflected that she was “super proud” of her work with the former AEW star.
So close after losing the Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 42, perhaps there’s more to be told with Cargill chasing the title than winning it back right now.
