At AEW All In London 2026, Willow Nightingale will defend the AEW Women’s World Championship against Mercedes Monè.

This is set up to be the culmination of these two women’s three-year story with one another.

Over the course of three bouts since 2023, Nightingale and Monè developed one of the most storied rivalries in women’s wrestling of this decade.

With the quality of their matches and the growing animosity, this feud has become one of the best women’s rivalry that All Elite Wrestling has ever crafted.

As things reach a fever pitch, Willow and Mercedes will be looking to prove themselves as the better women in Wembley Stadium on August 30.

Depending on how AEW All In London 2026 closes, fans could be making the argument Monè and Nightingale is AEW’s best women’s feud in company history.

How it all started

Back in 2023, Mercedes Monè made her debut in New Japan Pro Wrestling and looked set to become the first ever STRONG Women’s Champion.

However, Monè suffered a serious ankle injury during the finals of the tournament.

On that night, “The CEO” dropped the tournament finals to Willow Nightingale, who made history on this night.

Becoming the first ever STRONG Women’s Champion, Nightingale would go on to win the 2023 Owen Hart Foundation Women’s winner and CMLL Women’s World Champion that same year.

Following this injury and recovery, Monè was out of action for over a year and then went on to sign with All Elite Wrestling when she returned.

Upon signing with AEW in 2024, Monè became the number one contender for the TBS Championship, which was held by Willow Nightingale.

That set the stage for a TBS Title match that was billed as one third of a triple main event for the AEW Double Or Nothing 2024 pay-per-view.

Going on a record-breaking 584-day reign, Monè cemented herself as one of the best champions in AEW history.

In 2025, Monè went on to win 13 titles across multiple promotions around the world.

However, it was once again Nightingale who rained on Mercedes Mone‘s parade.

On the December 31, 2025 New Year’s Smash special of AEW Dynamite, Willow defeated Mercedes to end her historic run as TBS Champion.

This emphatic victory for Nightingale changed the entire dynamic of this rivalry from there.

Things become personal between Mercedes & Willow

After winning the TBS Title for a second time, Willow Nightingale celebrated her win after the match and the following week at the expense of Mercedes Monè, who found herself put in a cake by her rival, Kris Statlander and Harley Cameron.

Following this incident, Monè took the next six months away from AEW television.

Returning as the “Wild Card” in the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament, “The CEO” looked to make history by winning for a second straight year.

At AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2026, Monè defeated Maya World to win the 2026 Owen Hart Cup.

Punching her ticket for another shot at the AEW Women’s World Championship, Mercedes looked to win the one title that has eluded her.

Meanwhile, Willow Nightingale suffered a shoulder injury that sidelined her and forced her to be removed from the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament and opened the door for Monè to be the “Wild Card.”

Nightingale went on to return to win the Women’s Casino Gauntlet to earn a shot at the AEW Women’s World Championship.

At AEW Redemption 2026, Willow defeated Thekla to win the title for the first time.

There was no time for celebration because the focus then moved to Wembley Stadium.

Nightingale now has to defend the gold against her longtime rival Mercedes Monè on the biggest stage of the year, AEW All In London 2026.

Can Mercedes Monè finally win the AEW Women’s World Championship?

Going into AEW All In London 2026, Willow Nightingale and Mercedes Monè are set one of the most anticipated women’s matches in the company’s history.

Inside Wembley Stadium, Monè looks to avenge her loss of the TBS Title, while Nightingale has the chance to solidify her legacy by once again beating “The CEO” and holding the gold at AEW’s biggest event.

Last year, Monè came up short against Timeless Toni Storm for the AEW Women’s World Championship at All In: Texas 2025.

Then, “The CEO” failed in her second attempt against Kris Statlander for the same title at Full Gear 2025.

Monè looks to finally achieve the one goal that she has been denied of during her legendary 13-title run last year.

Can Willow vs. Mercedes become AEW’s greatest women’s feud of all time?

There have been many AEW women’s feuds that have left a significant impact on the promotion.

When the company first started, Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. and Thunder Rosa had one of the most violent and bloody rivalries in the opening years.

Then, Timeless Toni Storm and Mariah May developed one of the most carefully crafted and captivating stories in all of wrestling.

While it is difficult to pass these two rivalries, Willow and Mercedes have the opportunity to do that with what happens at Wembley Stadium.

Monè and Nightingale have had some excellent matches in the past, but the animosity between both women is at an all time high.

After losing once again to Willow in a six-woman tag at AEW Grand Slam Mexico, Mercedes is completely in her own head about her rival having her number.

No matter what the result may be, Willow Nightingale and Mercedes Monè’s place in AEW’s best feuds ever will be cemented at All In London 2026.
